Artificial Intelligence
For a long time artificial intelligence (AI) was more likely to be located in the realm of science fiction, but today we encounter the term in everyday contexts. But what do we actually mean by AI? The two-semester seminar offers an introduction to basic questions and problems of AI and gives an overview of current techniques and algorithms. The first part of the seminar contains an introduction to the subject and the history of AI, teaches the basics of knowledge representation and processing and introduces the declarative programming language Prolog. In the second part, the focus is on the topic of machine learning. Other current topics (e.g. deep learning, neurocomputing, artificial life, swarm intelligence) are taken up and deepened in presentations of the participants.
